Ive checked some videos and reviews about the dell venue 8(not to be confused with the venue 8 pro which runs windows) and was wondering what you think about it for gaming. My main interest are games like sonic dash, sonic 4,NBA jam, and sims in addition to emulators. I know it can run snes,nes,GBA,gen,n64, and ps1 but was wondering how reicast and ppsspp would work. I've read that some guy using 1 GHz quad with .5 gb of ram can run some games with some issues and i can run reicast on my old phone (1700 GHz dualcore and 1 GB of ram) while playing Sonic Adventure. The specs are Intel Atom Z2580 Dual-core 2 GHz with 2 GB of ram.

Looking at the specs I'd say yes.

you should avoid x86 when dealing with android and find a tablet that uses an arm based cpu instead

Well I found a 116 buck HP slate extreme with tegra 4 but its only on colamco and I'm not sure if its a good site. Have you tried colamco?
