afaik it creates gateway compatible emunands (it should say so in the thread), it became a little rusty after the 3ds scene developed so quickly with a9lh.
Developer has yet to update it but has plans to do it sometime. Like being able to create a rednand using exactly the space your nand takes up instead of the 1GB o3ds 2GB N3ds.

But for your needs it will suffice. in case it errors out on you (err4) format the sd using gateway launcher or open the sd with HxD and name it GATEWAYNAND at the start of your sd.
