Hello, was just wondering if using Hekate to boot into OFW was safe. Just tried it and it says it does some "patching" etc so want to know if its fine. AutoRCM setup with Argon-NX seems pretty neat this way, click SXOS for emunand, click Hekate and choose stock for OFW.

Once DragonInjector comes out this is going to be a cool setup. Payload injector and (if needed) an RCM jig that fits inside the switch game cart slot.

Very unlikely. I'm using hekate for months now to boot into stock sysNAND and play online. Not banned yet and don't believe I ever will.

I just wondered if this was a way to boot into ofw through hekate but protect your fuses. Is there any plugin/homebrew app that can keep your fuses safe? And why is it important to take an fuse backup, when IBM efuses blow it is permanent modification to hardware? Also, what causes the GC (game Cart) to blow, and does it really stop you being able to use a physical cart? Sorry about the many questions I’m very interested in the efuses and their purpose/repercussions in the Switch. Last of all, why do I feel a certain someone is the only one who will give me a straight answer to all this? Ahem, Matty

Yes and no. If the NAND you're booting into is clean (not had nsps installed on it or modded saves or anything else that writes to the NAND) it's probably fine. So booting "stock" sysNAND through Hekate, when using emuNAND for all your CFW stuff, is probably pretty safe. But as you said, it's not 100% stock, so no guarantees. Booting OFW from a clean power on (no AutoRCM) is always the safest.
