Hacking Question Is anybody working on how to hack a patched switch without a mod chip or physical modding?

I'm willing to bet some talented Chinese or Russian hackers will pick it up, to make some $$$.

They probably wouldn't cause of legal reasons. I think people should use the Arduino modchip to install cfw, who's with me. Since they can't take down Arduino you know, and it would be cheaper

Except you have no exploit to load the payload off the SAMD21 modchip on patched and V2 units, sure if someone find an exploit that allow you to inject payload, then yes.

Arduino is open source, so I hope it happens. I remember a couple months ago someone mentioned the possibility

Doesn't matter if Arduino is open source or not, not like you would get an exploit from Arduino. Modchip like Trinket M0 are Arduino SAMD21 Microcontroller.

These chip work on V1 unit, it would work if there was similar exploit that allow you to run payload from the SAMD21 Modchip.

So would it work on a V1 Unit or not. If any developer could do something special with it they would be very respected by the public. Even if they couldn't what about Raspberry Pi modchips. I know people have been able to do a lot with those

Raspberry Pi are single board computer not modchip.

If anything, it would be cool if someone could make a pcb layout for SX in oshpark. Similar to what was discussed here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/diy-switch-modchip.580221/
That way we could build diy versions of it. With that we could potentially boot AMS in V2s since the software has already been dumped from the chip and we even have other stuff like Spacecraft-NX that can be flashed to it to.

Finding a hack able switch on eBay is easy but the only issue is the ones I see are usually tablet only, you might be able to find it complete though. The ones I bought were all complete at the time some people actually gave me the serial when I asked and the other two I bought lucky had a photo that showed the serial number and the price I got them, they definitely probably didn’t realize what they were selling. I got all my switch’s bundled with good games, so the price was always worth it.

I know I was asking about software mod, and well joking as its been months lol

No updates so far.
Only that clones of the TX modchip showed up in Chinese online marketplaces.
They were even selling the source code to program the FPGA to enable this hack.
So I maybe this all leaks onto the public domain at some point.

Hopefully as wasn't there like a leak for keys last time for something?
