So I was shopping at a store and saw a new ps PS vita slim for 120 $. I already have a hacked switch and a hacked 3ds currently though and I will be mostly buying it in order to hack it. So here is my question what can a psvita emulate and do that a hacked switch and hacked 3ds can't do and is it worth buying it?

If you buy a Vita (and need to ask others if it's worth it) you should be doing that for Vita games (and to a lesser extent, PSP/PS1 games - some input lag if you use the fancier scaling features of Adrenaline) - I don't see too much value in buying a device so that you can play NES games on 14 instead of 13 tech products found in every household :P

Yeah that's true. But It looks a lot more mobile than a switch and more powerful than a 3ds.

Even if/when Psp and ps1 get emulated properly on the switch, they will look horrible. Sure the switch has a nice screen, but stretching Psp/ps1 resolution to fit/scale will look very bad. Also, the vita can accept Bluetooth headphones NATIVELY. :)

can you play Vita gems on switch? Not yet, so it is worth it.

hell yes it is, do yourself a favour and get one.

and here is what you can look forward to : psp games /psx/gba (I'm playing alot of gba these days using gbakai emu in adrenaline).
and you can also play alot more of the old school games such as snes etc.

and well don't forget about the huge library of vita games, it's a win win.

plus, it dont matter which vita version you get, the oled or the 2nd model both have gorgeous screens.

looks very close to how good the switch screen looks.
(i own both but I'm playing alot more on my vita cause in handheld mode the vita is far better simply because it's so lightweight [note i own the 2nd model and that one is extremely light to hold] good stuff).

go get one.

GBA VC is much better than the Vita on the 3DS.
The 3DS has GBA hardware in it to run the games.
i use gpsp kai on vitas adrenaline and it runs 99% of the games perfectly.

Worth it if you like the vita games that have been out; examples would like digimon, persona golden, uncharted, etc (just check out the essential games thread and see if there is anything that interests you). If you couldn't care less about that, then why would you buy it? The rest of us bought the vita because we wanted those games, plus the emulation and being able to play ps1 classics as an added benefit.

As some people said, if you are going to buy a vita, do it for vita games, and maybe PS1/PSP emulation. If you don't care about those, then don't buy it.

The "Color Gradient and Texture" is less accurate for the retropie versus the vita's adrenaline ps1 emulator, depends on the game you play if this is more noticeable or not (most likely same for 3DS.......most ps1 games work no problem though on vita)..............the 3DS is subpar for psp, the "retropie" isn't perfect but it can at least play in the compressed pbp format for smaller sized ps1 games, the psp emulator and n64 emulators will be far from perfect anywhere else outside the vita.

(for now, the filters in adrenaline don't cause any slowdown/lag in most games regardless, for the other games they have native buffer problems, like "Chocobo Racing/Need For Speed Racing 3-4 probably all, Chrono Cross, Croc, Spyro, Medieval", you need the "retropie for those" (recently increased buffer speed to address those games better, but no problems on a lower resolution anyway, true for the vita too in 480p for vita games, not so much for ps1, but more testing there) ........................ 3DS doesn't have HDMI no different screen play its really at a disadvantage if you don't like those games................."retroarch" on the vita is on the "retropie" the full NDS library is supported minus the mic games that need that ..................... for the retropie to have full 3DS support, it may need a 3 gig or more processor, maybe in a few years)

(all you have on retropie is "2xSAI' at best for PS1 as a filter, its not as good as vita's filters choices, but, I'm sure the 3DS is even more poor in choice and quality, otherwise nintnedon't would encouraging its consumers with higher expectation, no more mario spooning, etc.)

If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction

You either need to be intubated to bypass obstruction or create a stoma inferior to the the area of obstruction to survive
