Will 24 gauge be ok? Its the smallest my radio shack had....
Too thick I'd say. Those pads are really small!
hmm, ive got a wire hardness for a Xecuter 2.6 CE sitting around with really small wires, would this be better?
Dont know how small of a guage it is, but its really small
is there such thing as too small?
There's not much out there smaller than 30, so you're probably safe. The 24 might be OK for power/ground, but still probably a little thick.
someone mentioned that floppy cables would work...would it?
Which is an ide cable of sorts, prob too thick according to my installer
works perfect on my friend's wii with wiinja v1.
I knwo 30awg cable is cheap, but all thesource is closed down here in richmond ==" well except for the one in Richmond Center but if there is an alternative, I will use the IDE cable instead
I used wires I had left from Team Xecuter mods and they worked fine. From reading the text on the wire, it looked like they were 28 awg. I have zero DREs (and this is on a Wiinja v1), not sure if the wiring can play a factor in that. So you can use those wires fine, and they were the perfect length.
24 is kinda getting big for wii, but prob doable if your real careful. try cutting a USB cable, usually "Data -" and "Data +" are small so prob can use for modding if you dont have anything else, VCC and GND in usb is about 24awg
