I have two questions about the iQue

    1. Is it just a DS with different branding?
    2. Are the games possible to be dumped, they have smash brothers and F-zero X!

    1. Yes. Plus a bigger firmware chip for Chinese characters.
    2. Yes, they are. And no, there's no SSB or F-Zero X for DS (please post your source, if you want to prove me wrong).

And iQue games can be patched to work on normal DS' too.

Actually, the iQue is the chinese version of the N64, which has Smash Bros. and F-Zero X
However, the iQue DS, chinese version of DS (obviously), does not have these games. Don't get confused.

I have a dragon iQue DS Lite ... love it ... slightly more scratch resistant surafces ... no, they don't have Smash Brothers for the DS, just for their version of the N64 ... the iQue Player, which is basically a self-contained N64, with games already on it ... I can link the official site, if I have to [IMG]

    In fact, I will ... http://www.ique.com/

They do have F-Zero, but on their version of the GBA only ... which we have on the GBA, too.

The IQue sounds so cool. I am guessing all the games are in Chinese? and are the carts the same size and shape? I might contemplate getting one of my friends to buy me one cause thats cool.

The iQue Player uses proprietary carts ... only 10 games were released, and they are all in Chinese ...

The iQue DS Lite is virtually identical to the Nintendo DS Lite, except for a slightly superior battery life, a greater language support, and a slightly more durable housing ...

For now you could play Jump Ultimate Stars.

Btw, are these official Nintendo products or clones?

I heard the iQue DS can play games of every region and is the only region-free DS.

    more like "licensed by" products.

a separate company has permission from nintendo to clone their stuff and include chinese text support.

Actually, non-iQue DSs can play iQue games. You just need to disable the firmware check.

The iQue has modified hardware that lets you play these games. Mainly, the iQue has an expanded character set which includes Chinese that normal Nintendo DS consoles don't have. So basically Chinese region games will not work on a normal Nintendo DS and if you somehow manage to get it to work, it will be all messed up.

Regular DS's have 4MB of RAM, the iQue DS has 10MB for its Chinese menu/OS.

I'm pretty sure you can't read what's on that page anyway so I will tell you.
If you Ctrl+F and put '10MB' into the search bar it will take you to the area with all the hardware infomation. The second line reads:

RAM: 4MB (The iQue DS is equiped with a Simplified Chinese OS, as a result the RAM is expanded to 10MB)

Anyone know exactly where to buy an iQue DS? I haven't really seen a place to buy any.
