I guess it was outdated guides and such. When I Googled CFW for 3DS, quite a few of the hits said only 11.3 or below. 11.4 patched and fixed exploit. Having been informed here though I now realised that is now obsolete and any 3DS can install CFW (something I’m very happy about).

Now, I just need to find a 3DS...

Hah well I took a punt on another Hyrule. Auto-brightness, power-saving off, brightness 5:



Dual TN again! That's three Hyrules now. Maybe it's different for Aus/Euro releases? Checked with that lagom black-test and its four and up. I'll take it back to the game store. Plus its got the loose hinges and the circle pad kind of crunches on a particular angle. Otherwise immaculate condition. Bummer.
