This would be more impressive if the guy had not been wearing an armor vest, and the bullet had not passed through the ipod and kept on going. As it is, it seems like the ipod was just another casualty.

thats stupid. anything hardish (ipods have a metal back don't they?) would have the same effect. and it only slowed it down, probably not by much.

The Ipod isn't exactly tough. Dropping it might not hurt, but it'll still put dents and whatnot into the metal back

iPods are the new "bullet-proof" bibles.

xbox would prolly deflect the round back into the shooters knee. My friend hit m in the head with one before. Knocked me to the ground, lol.

Didn't they try something like this on Mythbusters? Granted they were testing zippo lighters and bibles and none of them stopped the bullet

If the Xbox360 could deflect a round, think what a PS3 could do [IMG]

At least the military would actually be able to afford to equip all their soldiers with PS3s

Then again, they dont have a shiny metal backplate huh?

Allegedly, the soilder recently came out an told the REAL story. Something about the iPod didn't save his life, it just told him he was shot or something. Tried looking for a link but the site was down. It's floating around on Digg if you wanna give it try...
