I bought an iPod Classic and I am really happy with it. It's not the best MP3 player around, but it's really good.

When I bought it, I saw a Crestive (30GB) costing 300€ and my Classic with 80 GB was "only" 250€.

@adgloride: Been using anapod for a while now and the bad of it is, it'll fuck up the GB display. Meaning, it'll show the iPod's using about 99999 something million gigabytes, sometimes ~the same amount in negative numbers. It's not such an annoyance but well... Oh yes, and it corrupts newer iPods.

I've never had problems with anapod. I've used it on my iPod mini and my girlfriends iPod mini. On the actual anapod site it claims that the software works with every version of the iPod. I haven't got the latest nano, so I don't know if its true. On the older versions of the iPod you can install rockbox. With this you can copy songs to the harddrive and also do things like use Flac. Another good way to avoid using iTunes.

The iPod Classics are absolutely gorgeous so I would have to say the Classic over the Zune. Plus, the iPod is by Apple, thats an automatic buy for me being a blatant fanboy.

I'd be afraid to get a Zune -- It might get the RROD

I find that with my iPod, an FM tuner isn't necessary. 80GB iPods are cheap, so with thousands of songs, just listen and enjoy! Always going to get a variety! No need for FM tuner

Mind you, I'm looking into getting one of those iPod speakers sometimes, which does have an FM tuner (for the wife), but when I'm home, I can dock the iPod and enjoy MY tunes, not my wife's
