ipod nano 2g.help me fix it.

ok so i found a ipod nano 2g on the road one day.it had been run over but still in good shape.i got it in the car, it turned on for half a second then it gave me the apple with a red x on it.i tried to resore it with a cable i borrowed from a friend.do you guys know what i can do.its lost all charge so i need to borrow one again if you guys have any wisdom thanks

Put it into DFU mode. I don't remember exactly how to, just Google it.

so any way to fix it....it turned on showed me the songs then it turned to the apple with the red x across it....

Restore iPod from Disk Mode

1. Disconnect iPod from your computer.
2. Manually put iPod into Disk Mode as explained in support document 93651.
3. Open the latest version of iTunes and connect iPod.
4. Restore iPod as explained in support document 60983.

How to put a ipod nano into disk mode.
