iPlayer raffles from friends of GBAtemp
    FlashCartReviews.com and DSDatabase

FlashCartReviews.com and DSDatabase.org (operated by long time GBATemp members iwakura and PharaohsVizier respectively) are each hosting raffles for a free iPlayer flash cart, both of which are sponsored by GameByGame.com. The two raffles are free raffles so it will not cost you a dime or much of your time.
With two separate raffles, you get two chances to win!

The iPlayer made the GBATemp front page news a few days back because of its ability to play GBA games straight from the DS’s slot 1 and the unique ability to play many mainstream video standards without conversion. Valued at around $45, the iPlayer is no small prize, and better yet GameByGame offered to add a bonus for the winners if they have purchased anything from the shop before the raffle’s end.

Since there are two separate raffles, there are two separate sets of rules:

Do those sites even give away the stuff? Didn't they had a contest before I'm too lazy to find out the last time winners.
I won't even bother entering, I won't be active in neither or those sites xD

GBAtemp contest. I hope that will never happen its to much work for GBAtemp. Imagine 1000 people are going to apply thats a whole lot of work for gbatemp to put all the names into there computer. And I bet you won't even win the GBAtemp contest if there was one since like 1000 people are going to sign up.

Ah, I'm not going to enter, I have any flashcard I want at my disposal, don't want to ruin someone else his opportunity to win it.

The dead battery/30 min. of panicking made me laugh XD

Just the Slot-1 GBA emulation is win on its own.
Shows what the doubters know; "GBA on Slot-1 is impossible".
Improbable? Yes, but not impossible. And now it's done, just like with Lordus and his Sega Genesis/Megadrive emulator for the DS.
When you stick to it, you can do it. (And I don't mean stick to as in stick to say, a wall per say [IMG])
    Rambling :V

And knowing my luck, when PharaohsVizier does the drawing, watch Rock_Raiyu's name be under/next to mine again XD

What all you "Told you so", "GBA on slot-1!!!!111111one" lovers fail to mention or sometimes even realize, is that the GBA emulation is ONLY for the iPlayer hardware. It can not be done on a PROPER slot-1 flash cart. The emulator uses the iPlayer's own cpu and ram, so technically the gba emulator doesn't even run on the DS, therefore its no different from that great lump of crap that clips onto the bottom of a gamecube to play gba games.

Plugging an audio cable from your CD player into the mic socket of your DS does not mean your DS can play CD's. Its the same with this, the Cart is doing the work, not the DS, therefore the doubters are still correct, there is [and will be] no GBA emulator for the DS.

Yeah, I like PharaohsVizier's raffle drawing method, could use Powerball machine, imo [IMG]

    @Spinal_Cord
Well duh, one merely provides the necessary hardware, and homebrew coders go from there, either way, someone had to make the hardware capable of running such things, then someone took an idea and went with it.
