I've held / used an iPhone. It's much nicer and smoother than my N95 (interface-wise) but the N95 kicks it over the horizon feature wise. It's fun chatting on Google talk whilst listening to MP3s, task-switching to IRC to check rom releases, and the browser is the best mobile browser I've used (I didn't try the iPhone's browser (safari?) because of the lack of 3G and the relative shitttyness of EDGE.

Plus the N95 has an app to download stuff off the GNUtella network (Limewire), which is cool for mobile songs. And GPS, but is handheld GPS really that useful?
and... the N95 can open office documents.
and the S60v3 OS has a voice synthesizer. So every evening at 9:00, my phone chimes and reads me tomorrows weather forecast.

Basically iPhone: Slick interface, touchscreen, cool factor

N95: Uber functional, awesome camera, MicroSD slot, 3rd party apps, 3G, Video calls, Etc

Well I don't know anyone who uses Google Talk anyways, so I'm happy with just the several IRC and AIM clients that have been developed so far for the iPhone.

Well you should have, because its the best browser ever implemented on a mobile phone by far.

While I would prefer actual GPS hardware, theres an application available that allows you to track your location via the cellular signal.

and... the N95 can open office documents.
Which I have no doubt an application for the iPhone will be developed to compensate that need.

MicroSD slot
8gb of internal flash storage > MicroSD slot in my opinion.

This is something I had to think over, but I went around with a mate's iPhone on EDGE, and apparently we get really good coverage here in Everett, so the speed is definitely usable. Not the near-broadband speeds of 3G, but still several times faster than dialup.

Also, an unlimited data plan from AT&T costs twice as much for a phone that supports 3G.

3rd party apps
They're available, just not supported by Apple yet.
