Apple iPhone 3G crashes during greenpois0n jailbreak, help!

Hi, could you help me with this problem? I'm trying to jailbreak my iPhone 3G with greenpois0n RC6 and everytime I go through the steps and attempt to put it into DFU it crashes. I know I'm doing it right because I just did it on my iPhone 4 and it worked. I'm on version 4.2.1 on both iPhones. Please help, thank you.

greenpois0n never supported the iPhone 3G. You can use redsn0w instead, though.
