@AncientBoi , that's what I used to think too due to the freezing point, but it's more complicated. don't really know how it actually works.
• @ Psionic Roshambo:
The start of the movie starts with a air plane flying low over the swamp, the pilot has an engine failure and crashes into the swam spilling thousands of pounds of drugs, the gators go crazy and swim towards a small town that happens to have a fair going on... From there things explode with only the local law enforcement to hold back the tide of terror!
• @ AncientBoi:
it's not calculus. just add 32 to C to get F
• @ AncientBoi:
I'll stick with what I know. because it works for me
• @ Psionic Roshambo:
0C is freezing 32F is freezing lol
• @ FAST6191:
So third film in the series then involves crack squirrels? https://www.brixtonbuzz.com/2020/04...and-the-legendary-crack-squirrels-of-brixton/
• @ AncientBoi:
I'm at 65F here in LA, CA
• @ Psionic Roshambo:
lol These squirrels are not nuts!!!
• @ godreborn:
it's almost that. here's the formula apparently: (0°C × 9/5) + 32
• @ AncientBoi:
Cool. but I flunked math. [basically]

so, My way [taught] is what I go by.
• @ godreborn:
don't worry about it. we're not hating on you. it's confusing how it works to me too.

• @ godreborn:
alright, I just checked 60 degrees C/140F. you plug the Celcius number in with that 0 and the above equation. it came out to 140.
• @ godreborn:
9/5 is 1.8
• @ godreborn:
so it's Celcius x 1.8 +32.
• @ AncientBoi:
o.....................k
• @ AncientBoi:
lol What if I'm at -0.5C ? lol, enjoy that one.
• @ godreborn:
I think the reason 0 works out to be 32 is that it's multiplied by 1.8, which would still equal 0.
• @ godreborn:
think that would -32.9. I couldn't figure out how to put a negative in the calculator, but usually one negative means that the result will be negative anyway iirc. it's been about 22 years since I was in high school.
• @ AncientBoi:
I was one of those Pushed through the cracks, and given my HS diploma
• @ Julie_Pilgrim:
im still in high school
• @ AncientBoi:
Hi Scott.... oops, Julie
• @ godreborn:
I did well in high school and college, but I've forgotten a ton.
