Talk about a comeback though. Interplay shut down, didn't pay people for a long stretch, filed for so many levels of protection and bankruptcy, lost their office, and basically got down to working basically to an 'out of my garage' type level didn't they?

If EWJ was handled nicely I may care, Descent 1 for PC I really enjoyed heaps, and Dark Alliance on Cube was seriously kickass and played that out twice so I'd be up for more on that one.

Earthworm Jim for the n64, if memory serves, wasn't the best. 2D Jim was the best. Could we make it into a Castlevania-type game and make it have like 30 hours gameplay? That'd be ace. Would be perfect for the DS.

The 2d EarthWorm Jim games were great! The N64 one was not as good.. but was ok.
MDK and Descent were also very good PC games.. I had forgot about Shiny.. I hope whoever takes the licenses can make a good job with them.

I think a new MDK game would very welcome, unlike most 3rd person action games, MDK doesn't take itself seriously.

Conflict freespace 2 (AKA Descent 2) was by a long shot the best space shooter/simulator i've ever played. Better than the x-wing/wing commander series.

Pity there isn't games like it on the current gen, the closest is project sylpheed on the xbox360 but it is far too arcady.

Indeed. More MDK please. In fact, more shooters that don't take themselves seriously, please, like Armed and Dangerous, or Citizen Kabuto. Those were fun.
