modmii modmii modmii...

ModMii!!!!

lol, only cuz you said not to I couldn't resist

But seriously, it sounds like you have an outdated IOS55 (IIRC that's the IOS used by the latest internet channel) or outdated internet channel itself (or both).

You could use modmii to download WADs that are definitely working, or you can continue blindly installing whatever internet channel WADs you find on the net (not a smart move btw). If you don't want to use modmii for whatever reason, use nus downloader to download\pack WADs for the latest version of IOS55 and the internet channel for your region, then install them, and the problem should go away.

I have to ask these questions because you seem to have something against ModMii.
-do you have bootmii installed?
-do you have a nand backup?
-do you have priiloader installed?

If the answer to any of these questions is "no", then you followed a shit guide to softmodding your Wii, and you should seriously consider resoftmodding your Wii from scratch using a proper softmod guide, like ModMii. ModMii will not only take care of all the items listed above, but it can also help you update your IOSs, cIOSs, Wii Channels (like the internet channel), themes, usb-loaders, etc.

(please don't tell me to download from wii shop or mod mii)

Well I was going to suggest getting it from the wii shop, or ModMii, so other than that you're out of luck I guess.

Start ModMiiSkin.exe, start the ModMii Wizard and pretend its the first time your modding the Wii, answer the questions, it will build you a custom easy-to-follow guide based on your answers (including pics and videos) as well as put all the necessary files on your sd card. Then put the sd card in the Wii and follow your custom guide. This will ensure u have the necessary brick protection in place that will save your Wii in the event you do something silly, like installing random WADs you found on the net (next time you might not be so lucky).

Trust me, ModMii is not hard, you just have to be able to follow simple instructions.

And FYI, it's very stupid not to do the things I listed above, for an example just read this sad story about someone who skipped making a nand backup: http://gbatemp.net/topic/321422-semi-bricked-wii/page__view__findpost__p__4139589

And btw, I could've easily explained to you how to use ModMii to JUST update your internet channel... but I didn't because I don't want you to skip important steps... who knows, you might even thank me for it later.

edit:
@diddy81, shopping channel requires a wifi connection on the Wii, which presumably he has if he's trying to load the internet channel. But if his internet channel is outdated is very likely that his shop channel is also (shop channel is updated much more frequently than the internet channel)... meaning he can't access the shop channel without doing an official update or using a softmod guide like ModMii. And yea... I can't see a problem with ModMii either, but some people just get intimidated before even reading the main menu and give up before really even giving it a chance (I have a friend IRL like that, I call him dumbass dave, lol)
