Which one is faster at game loadings, installing game data, etc., internal, USB, disc or ps3NetServ? Does the latter install game data on the PS3?

Most likely internal, disc/usb, ps3netserv in this order. The only method that install games on the ps3 is usb (for PS2 games only as it's not supported to run on external drive), all other use cases run the game directly except from game data that needs to be installed on game start, those will go on internal drive and they can be quite big for some games.

I thought webMAN MOD could run PS2 games from USB.

The thing is, even though internal might be faster, I want to spare the PS3's HDD since I want to have a lot of PS1, PS2 and PS3 games. I have a 1 TB HDD and a 2 TB external HDD.

Why is PS3's SATA controller 1.5 but the PS3 comes with a SATA 300 HDD and not with a SATA 150 HDD?

What about SMB OPL/POPStarter vs. PS2/PS1 disc?

Do you know IRISMAN's USB maximum storage? Is it 2 TB?

It should be 2 TB but I've seen people say that you can use more, I don't to which extent and how supported it is. I guess it's better to stick to 2 TB, that's already a lot for the PS3

And the maximum microSD card/USB storage for PSP, PS Vita and PS TV and the maximum storage for OPL SMB?

Because many have already reported that more than 1TB cause stability problems......

and as far as I know, only a maximum of 1.5TB is possible

So, 1.5TB may not me stable? It's that I don't think 1TB HDD + 2TB external HDD will be enough for all my PS1, PS2 and PS3 games.

Well, the biggest advantage is simply more memory

Will it make the PS3 faster? How can I reach +18MiB/s FTP speed since in reddit there are users which are saying they reached +30MiB/s?

Well you could use multiple external hard drives.........

If you have a lot of Ps3 games it probably makes the most sense to have them in ISO format on an external hard drive and only install PSN backups and games you play often internally.........

and if you have a large ps2 collection I would personally recommend a PS2 in combination with an OSSC or GBS-C

I thought that but I wanted to use just one external HDD...

That's what I was thinking. PSN and PS2 ISOs on the PS3's HDD and PS1 and PS3 ISOs on the external HDD.

Is OPL PS2 more compatible with PS2 backups than PS3 CFW? Does the BC Fat PS3 CFW read more PS2 backups than the non-BC PS3 CFW models (I have a PS3 Slim)? And what about OPL PS1 compatibility on PS2 vs PS3 CFW PS1 compatibility? I suppose the best solution for PS1 games is PS3 CFW and the best for PS2 games is OPL on BC Fat PS3. That way one wouldn't have to use both consoles and would only need a PS3.

PS3 consoles that are not backward compatible use emulation and have here and there problems with some titles.

Here is an overview:

And from my own experience I have never had a problem regarding Ps2 Opl
