It looks like it'll change things up a bit.

The Game looks nice, what do you think about the character and item changes?

OH, AND HERE IT IS

NOTE: This is actually an old MK8 Beta Cup Icon, but now that King Boo is playable, do you think this could mean something for MK8 Wii U?
This one,if
you couldnt notice

Two items huh. Doubt they're returning to the holding an item behind you mechanic....but I am Hoping for maybe 4 - 8 more retro cups? I would love to see mushroom bridge return, or shroom ridge. Ugh...so many good courses.

Yeah, the things I noticed myself are partly those you mentioned already. Here some thoughts of me about it:
- Double item system. Probably dropping triple items in favor of that and keeping the star in your slot while you use it to make it more fair (imagine holding 6 red shells and getting another set of 3 right when collecting an item box - or using the star while being able to shoot away reds - that game will be more imbalanced than MKWii!). KartRider has done it like this since 2004 very successfully and I can only recommend Nintendo to copy that.
- Koopalings return (if they don't get removed like Kamek got in MK8, but I doubt it since that would affect a total of 7 characters at once) and King Boo is new. King Boo has a unique Circuit Special skin with gold plating on top of the front tires I think.
- The UI seems smaller? Running in full HD, resulting in smaller 2D overlays as they're just taken and realigned from MK8 for now?
- They took the time to create unique minimap overlays, the MK8 ones are light blue (simply reusing the graphic from the gamepad) and opaque, these are transparent gray. On a personal note, the character icons are still by far too fat to actually see who is in a group with you. I often don't even see players near me because I simply overlap them, it sucks.

I really hope the last one happens, it was a rookie design fail, not what I expect for Nintendo (Nintendo games aren't about mistakes, they're about making asinine design choices on purpose:rofl2:)

I think this is great because you get to SWITCH between two items... okay I'll stop. But, this is amazing because the Mario Kart Team actually listened to the fans and gave us a actual character like King Boo instead of something like Green Bronze Luigi. Also, I noticed that Mario's icon on the icon looks a bit different, so I'm guessing they might be revamping a lot of images. Btw, do you guys think real characters like Bowser Jr. and Dry Bones will finally come back to Mario Kart 8 for Switch? I hope they do, but knowing the Mario Kart Team, they're gonna troll us by putting something like Gold Luigi in.

Nintendo said that the Gameplay footage on that Switch Video they Release are not actual Games and that it could just be some kind of Demo to show what the Switch can do.

I even read that they said it was added after the whole Video was done so the Gameplay stuff was Inserates into the Video later on.

This video is all about explaining how the Nintendo Switch works. We wanted to convey in a self-contained video how Nintendo Switch represents a new era for video game systems enjoyed in front of a TV, by letting gamers play anywhere, anytime, with anyone they choose. It adds the mobility of a portable system to the power of a home gaming system.

At a later date, before the March launch, we’ll be talking about things like exact launch date, and of course, the games. You shouldn’t assume what you saw on the video represents actual game footage and further specifics on first-party games will be provided later.

Some even said it might be like that awesome Zelda Gameplay they showed to promote the Wii U which was than never actually made into a Game you could buy ...

Maybe you are lucky and it is as shown on the pictures but I would not get my hopes up to High just to be save ;)

Of course. In that turn I will also suggest them to create a track editor for everyone and release file format specifications and the world will be a less fiddlyfugged place.
No wait, what?

It's running at 720p. Not Full HD.
