Hacking Installing WADs on fresh homebrew'd Wii 4.1U

I just helped my friend get the homebrew channel on his Wii and played Brawl+ with him, but now I'm trying to help him install some WADs.
I've been looking around for different IOS files that I might need to install to fix this error, from numerous google searches and from several YouTube tutorials, and all he's come up with is a ton of errors, and we're unable to install the Paper Mario 64.wad we've been trying to install.

How exactly do you get WADs to install on Wii 4.1U.
He has the WAD Manager 1.4 and 1.5 on his SD card, what else do we need to do to make WADs install.
It's been so long since I've done it.

    @Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.

    Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

    @Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

    Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
