Trying to install Linux directly onto the PS3 HDD, my PS3 has CFW because of the recent 4.82 exploit. Back when OtherOS was an official thing, you'd be prompted to create a partition for the PS3 HDD, x for one of the OS and the remainder for the other. Not getting said option.
I've installed petitboot, then I selected Resize Vflash/NAND Regions, rebooted the system per its request. Once the system was back up, I went back into REBUG Toolbox and selected Boot OtherOS, then I get a boot list, and launch Red Ribbon from the DVD. Problem is, I know I won't be able to partition the drive properly in Linux, that has to be done in the GameOS. I cannot find the necessary option to so. What am I missing? Already have a backup of my PS3 data to reload so not worried about data loss.
