Hacking Installing Japanese Wiiware/Virtual Counsel wads in US Wii

So is it safe to install Japanese wiiware/virtual counsel wads on U.S. wii's? There are some games that was not release in the U.S.

If I recall you have to use a program called freethewads first. then install them

or when preloader is installed, set regionfree channels and install the wads as they are.
