Gaming Installing CFW on Phat PSP

Ok, check this. My friend let me borrow his Phat PSP to install CFW on it. Thing is, I don't have my battery on my person right now. Any other way besides hardmodding a battery to do it? Also, my friends PSP is on 5.02. Can it be downgraded? Thanks. I've been a bit out of the PSP Scene for a while so I've forgotten everything lol

IF you're on 5.01 you'll need a Pandora battery be it a hard mod or a dedicated Pandora which you've bought just for the job. And yes...all fat PSP's can have CFW installed.
