Thank you mate.

If I install tin foil and pirated games on my Atmosphere (not original), am i running the risk of when using my original for online play getting a ban ? or am I safe?

How do I install tinfoil but just to the emunand?

if you're running an emuMMC, tinfoil will only install its channel on emuMMC.

And everything that is put in emuMMC stays in emuMMC (the purpose of an emuMMC). But as nobody knows exactly what telemetry is sent to Nintendo, it's impossible to say : you're 100% safe.

you should at least use AMS option to hide prodinfo (copy exosphere.ini from atmosphere\config_templates to the root of your microSD Card, edit and change blank_prodinfo_emummc=0 to blank_prodinfo_emummc=1) + DNS redirection from AMS (atmosphere\hosts\emummc.txt) or with 90DNS is also a good idea.

Thank you mate. You are a mind reader as that was my next quesiton.

So if I have that file in atmosphere/hosts and I have the exosphere file on the root of my SD card, I'm pretty much as safe as I can get and hope all is well?

hiding prodinfo with AMS is exactly what incognito does (except AMS patches it on the fly, incognito removes data).

on an emummc, you can use incognito if you want, it's not as dangerous as on sysMMC (if you lose your prodinfo, you ban yourself)

Thank you, so Atmosphere is already doing what incognito does so there is no point?

except if some bug(s) breaks it with an AMS update ;)

blanking prodinfo on an emuMMC is not risky. Don't like to use incognito on sysMMC, but on emuMMC, it can't do anything bad. Your choice :moogle:

you can use NXNANDManager to open your emummc (you will need your prod.keys) and easily remove prodinfo :

right-click on prodinfo partition → Apply incognito

nothing that I wrote here can make this, as it only affects emuMMC
if you used incognito on your sysMMC, then you may have removed the personal data of your switch, which would not break WIFI connection.

ps : using 90DNS, AMS prodinfo hide option or incognito can't stop a Switch from connecting to Internet. it only stops Nintendo Online service/telemetry.

Haha.. I used the wrong router lmao!!
Thank you mate, I'm all set up now! You've been an awesome help, I really really appreciate it.

In Tinfoil for the incognito settings, do you play with them or just leave them as they are?

Glad to see everything finally works as expected.

When using incognito, it wipes everything, so I don't see any useful option (I don't know what tinfoil does exactly).
