Hacking Installed a Wiikey and my DVD drive doesnt work.

Whenever I plug it in, it doesnt want to spin, not even the eject button works. Help?

check ribbon.

Ribbon is fully in. I tested this by taking out the ribbon it'd say insert disk and putting in the ribbon and the drive does not spin.

Alright the DVD drive spins now but now I keep getting DREs.

And my ribbon cable holder came off. How do i fix that?

That little brown holder is a real pain the place back in, if that's what you're talking about.

Find out how the holder connects to the dvd drive without the ribbon in place, then reattach it when you're ready. This is probably the most frustrating part

you could have a bad chip ... this happen to me with a bad chip ... soldered the C3 i think and it worked but back ups didnt

No.

I just found a way to put the ribbon cable back in and the disk spins perfectly fine except it doesnt read disks at all.

It just says "Please insert disk" even though the DVD drive is spinning. What is the meaning of this?

Its the piece of crap ribbon cable. If you don't put it back exactly aligned, you're going to get those problems. If you broke the holder off, you might as well return the wii. Same thing happend to me and not even taping it down would get it to align properly.
