Hacking Installation of Firmware M3DS Real

I'm trying to install the firmware for the M3DS Real. I'd like to follow the sticky'd guide. However, it says that the firware zip file should contain a .nds and .dat file. It doesn't.

The zip file contains a single folder (no files in root) called "SYSTEM". Inside system, there are many files. Do I copy the folder over such that SYSTEM is in the root of the memory card? Or do I copy it such that all the files inside get placed in the root?

And how does the DS boot the operating system without a NDS? Hmmm

Grrr, I found the user manual on the M3 website. Sorry for this post....should have looked a little more before posting.

A more apt title for the thread would have been:
"Installation of Firmware M3DS Real, Not Stickied new owner questions"

He was referring to the sticky of the M3 Simply/R4DS Idiots Guide. The two cards are different, so there was no mistake that the files were different
