Hacking Install PS3 ISOs from/to HDD (New To CFW PS3)

Hello Hello (Lucio Voice)

I just put cfw on my ps3 4.82 and installed a 1TB hard drive in it.
I want to start installing games, have a bunch just sitting on my pc as .PKG/.ISO , I FTP'd one over and tried to go through PKG installer but it didn't even show up.

can anyone enlighten this noob as to how to install games? ty.

also if this for some reason is something im not allowed to ask, I apologize.

Over FTP? Put stuff in the appropriate subfolder of dev_hdd0, these folders are:

PS3ISO, PS2ISO, PSXISO, PSPISO (self explanatory, though you will need to install the launcher pkg for PSP)
GAMES ("JB format" = extracted PS3 isos = "folder games")
packages (install them from Game > ★ Package Manager > Install > HDD, you can delete the pkg afterwards)
DVDISO, BDISO (movie and data discs)

right , i understand that. but I FTP'd over a pkg and tried to go through PKG installer but it didn't even show up.

I used a fatprincess.pkg i found online just for a test; tossed it in the Packages folder and went under package manager. but it just says there's nothing there.
