Hi has anyone found a way to:
Install / extract wad's (vc / wiiware) directly to sd with 4.0 ?

    Now i have to first:
    1. Copy wad to sd
    2. Install wad from sd to nand
    3. Move installed wad from nand with the 4.0 sd menu.
    4. Delete the wad itself from sd.
    5. Run installed wad

    Would be nice to:
    1. Extract wad to sd
2 Run the installed wad (vc / wiiware).

Any ideas how this can be accomplished ?

Well we won't be breaking ninty's encryption anytime soon (read as ever) for individual wiis. The only way this could be accomplished is if we could get the wii system menu to read unencrypted wads and display them as channels, which I'm not sure how much luck you'd actually have doing.

It'd be much more likely to have some sort of homebrew program that loads and boots .wads that you could make channels for... but if you wanted it to load each individual game it may take even more steps (as you'd have to accomplish all of the things you said at first + the additional steps to make each wad... well... an installable channel wad... which sounds redundant now that I think about it)

Hmmm i see, i think , but what if we could provide our own wii specific certs as input when extracting wads before putting them on sd ?

    this could be an idea:

    WADInstaller

    1.Installs to nand from SD
    2.moves from NAND to SD

    Shouldnt be too hard

yeahh. but i just found onother obstacle [IMG] , when i have an 8 SD GB.
And when i fill it around /above 2 GB the homebrew channel is no longer able to read what's in the app folder [IMG]
Anyone else got that problem or know if hbc can hande SD cards above 2 GB ?

Created a seperate thread about the 2 GB limit here:

So for now i have to have the hbc and wad manager on a 2 GB card, and after install, move the installed wad's to an 8 GB card, not very nice.
