    Hi everyone!

I am in progress to install al9h on my n3ds. Currently I am here:
    https://3ds.guide/2.1.0-ctrtransfer

I downloaded the ctr image but the image name is called "2.1.0-4E_ctrtransfer_o3ds.bin". Sounds like it is for OLD 3DS!

    Please advice!
    Thanks

    Yumi

It's safe to use. The N3DS never had firmware 2.1. Just don't close your system while on 2.1 or you'll get a permanent brick.

It seems the guide needs updating possibly, it seems after reading "New 3DS or Old 3DS" it depends more on your region its self?

    EDIT: Somewhat Ninja'd

If you're talking about the 2.1 image, then yes. As the n3ds never had 2.1 fw to begin with. It's minimum version was 8.1.

The 2.1 image gets auto patched to work on n3ds making it think it's an o3ds. Just race your way through while on 2.1 and don't close the lid. All should work without a hiccup.

Now for the 9.2 images, they should be different and have separate links.

    Thanks for help!
I now bootet into 2.1.0. I am here:

    https://3ds.guide/installing-arm9loaderhax

It says I need to copy some files, but my DS is running. Is it safe to shut down my N3DS to copy those files?

yes, just don't put it in sleep mode (close the top while the 3ds is running).

Thanks so much! If I need to configure an internet connection, is it safe to do so? Go to settings etc?

Yes. Also, be careful when removing the backplate to get to the SD. It's very easy to accidentally hit the power button. Try to manage taking it off with the screen open.

The wifi on my N3DS is off. The guide said I can enable it by removing the battery for a few seconds. I did, but it's still off..

    I am finally done!

    The guide says:

    Section VI - Finalizing setup
    1. Open Health and Safety (which is now FBI)
    2. Select “SD”
What does this mean? Where to find Healt and Safety? In the prior step I did a dump and an inject from the health and safety menu but there is no "SD" option.

The yellow triangle game icon is health and safety, look for it. The banner should show "FBI" in a blue/white 3D square. open that and inside the app select the "SD" option to browse your sd card and look for "fbi.cia" "hb_loader.cia" and "lumaupdater.cia"
