ROM Hack Injecting cracked ST save file into an actual ST cart

So yeah, I've been playing the cracked Spirit Tracks on R4. But let's say I buy the game itself and I want to transfer my save over to it so I don't have to do it all again. Is it possible to do this the normal way or do I have to do something else?

I ask because I know cheats for regular ST won't work on cracked ST, so I'm not sure if other things are affected by the crack.

1). Cheats =/= Cracks
2). Cracks won't be in your save file.
3). Cheats effects won't continue on your save file.

That said, you can just use a tool like NDS Backup WiFi Tool v0.31f to put the save on the card.
I've not done it with LoZ:ST, but it has worked with New Super Mario Bros. and Lunar: Dragon Song.
