Could be a decent popcorn flick.

I like how the alien technology had a huge impact on the world and everything looks advanced now. A lot of sequels prefer the "what do we do with all these incredibly advanced city-sized alien spaceships lying around? LOL LET'S BURY THEM AND PRETEND THEY NEVER HAPPENED" approach.

wounder how may call backs the to the 1st one will be in it

will it start the day after the 1st one ended, then have a time skip?
