ROM Hack Importing leaked moon save to retail?

So ive tried many times to move my file over from my backed up leaked version, to the recent retail one but every time i get "save data not compatible" how do i get around this? or is there a editor where i can load a fresh save and edit it exactly to my location / pokemon in the old save.
