Gaming I'm really depressed about the lack of wiimote/tablet support for smash

Just thinking about how Smash Ultimate will not have Wii U Tablet support or sideways Wiimote support means I will lose my two favourite ways to play Smash.

tablet support...just put your switch in portable mode and thats is basicaly wiiu gamepad support lol.

as for wiimote just use the joycons... basicaly the same crap.

The Wii U tablet might be an issue, since it wasn't using bluetooth. It was using a proprietary system. But Wii controllers isn't something that's going to stay I think. I don't know if Nintendo stopped producing them, but it they haven't there is really no use for them. They can just sell you Joycons instead.

Not really a proprietary system it was just using the 5ghz wifi band.

Don't be depressed, how about using a wireless-usb-adapter with PS4 / Wiimote / Wii U Pro controller support?

@tatumanu That adds even more latency to the already laggy Wii Remote in comparison to the wired gamecube controller, but if the OP wants to use such a bad control scheme, an adapter will be the only way for now.
The tablet won't work except someone gets the extension port working, gets the tablet working with a dongle that works on switch or with some soldering to internal pads to get a wired connection.

It's advertised as lag free, i never tested myself but iv'e heard from several people and youtube that it works great with PS4 controllers and Wii U Pro.

Also, there are other products like this from other companies i think.
