How would I download Homebrew on a 2DS with version 6.0.0-12U
I tried following this guide from a website and all that happens when I get to the QR code part is the DS says An error has occurred. Please save you data in any software currently in use, then restart the system. says the same after restart.

Hello and welcome to GBAtemp.
To make the most of your 2DS, have a look at https://3ds.hacks.guide for installing full custom firmware (which is a lot more stable and can do a lot more than simply starting some old userland-only homebrew exploit).

Read the guide carefully, don't skip any steps (like the SD check or the NAND backup) and you will end up with a console that can do much more than before. Using Soundhax on 6.0.0-12U should be a very easy process. Modern browsers often try to "play" the exploit file (which does not contain audio but the exploit. To download try right-click and "save as" or similar.
In case Soundhax does not work for whatever reason there still is the Seedminer method (requires updating to latest firmware before starting the process).
