Hacking I'm on 9.2. If I borrowed a friend's gateway, can I access eshop and update my games?

I understand I would have to run the web exploit, install emunand, update, and then NOT unlink the emuNAND. If I do all that will it work? because from what I understand, eshop downloads are "legit CIAs" so SYSNAND would read it. Then I wouldn't need the gatweway, but I could go back to playing smash bros online.

To just update games you don't even need to borrow your friends Gateway, have a look at this: Spoof firmware (to access eShop and more) on New 3DS and Old 3DS

Following the above link will allow you to still use the Eshop on 9.2 and update all your games.

yes, but you need the gw card every time to re-enter emunand and access eshop etc
might not be very convenient

If you own the titles, you could use rx-tools then gw is not needed

or you could just use rxtools for 9.7 emunand without any gateway
