Wherabouts would I go to get a reliable download for IOS53, and is there a speical way to install it, or can I just use WAD Manager?

I have a launch Wii on 4.1 NTSC-U CIOS REV 17 if that helps.

In the unlikely case that ModMii doesn't have it, you could get it from NUSD.

I believe that there are a number of Wii apps that can install it directly, too. MultiModManager maybe?

    Why do you need it?

Use modmii to get up to date with your IOS and Cios.
    Rev 17 is outdated

Don't suggest that again, we don't need anymore bricks from that app.

Lol, I'm new to this site, but not to hacking. By "we" I meant the hacking community in general.

Thankfully the Dop-IOS Mod bug is pretty rare these days, since it's such an old app. However, if people start suggesting Dop-IOS Mod, all it takes is a simple scan from that app and you've got a partial brick. I'm just trying to prevent any potential problems.

Didn't mean to raise any red flags. I never heard of that app causing any problems, from what I remember it was fairly popular, and I just pulled a couple off the top of my head.

I edited my post to prevent future readers from seeing it.

Thanks for editing that. There was a version of Dop-IOS Mod that would cause a brick if you ran system check with it. It was fixed and the name was later changed to Dop-Mii.

In the future it would be good to just suggest Multi-Mod Manager. It is more stable than Dop-Mii, and it doesn't offer stubs as downloads for IOS's. The one thing it's lacking is an IOS scanner, but SysCheck is better for that anyway.
