yeah, there's 2 missing pin on the motherboard port.

before I do something, is there any benefit to stay in lower FW now? my OFW is 5.1.0.

If you are in an unpatched switch there is no benifit.

if you are on a mod chipped switch there is no benefit.

If you are interested in changing to a software only hack in the future that might likely never come there might be a benefit (but probably not.) If so it would have been better to stay at/below 4.x so 5.x isn’t really that special anyway.

or should I upgrade to the latest?

You can upgrade to the latest on emunand without impact to your Sysnand.

Be aware that you will probably to block (autonogc) Game Card FW updates on Emunand if you don’t upgrade your OFW as well.

Well here is your problem, from switching between two SD card, that how you killed your slot, you have few options here, first you can try a replacement sd card flex, if that doesn't work you might have to solder a wire from connection on the board to pin on the flex.

yeah, I just found out about the microsd port problem after I had it
I'm not confident about my soldering skill but I just found repair shop that could fix it. but it costs quite a lot, maybe I'll stay in OFW for now.

at least now I know the main problem and what need to be fixed later

then maybe I'll upgrade to the latest OFW. just for playing my physical games for now

I'll fix it later if I really need the CFW (I have other handheld for homebrew and stuff)

fortunately yes, i've taken my BOOT0, BOOT1 and rawnand.bin before
but i kinda afraid to flash the sysnand lol

it seems sthetix has a video about this problem

but for me, hekate still can see the card
only Atmosphere and SXOS can't

Great hygiene! As an academic exercise, Emutool can use your backup to create a new Emunand on your sd card using your PC (I.e. without having to use your Switch and its broken reader.)

(Note this is moot point base on other information on this thread.)
