Well if everything failed and you havent used FBI injection on your sysnand:
reformat Emunand through the gateway launcher, install rxTools anew, update your emunand (shouldnt be necessary actually), use fbi Injection on your emunand (should work now because your new emunand has the H&S from your sysnand) and install FBI.
Basically: just follow the tutorial again

Right. So, I've tried to uninstall FBI. I have downloaded the .app and .tmd file from 3DNUS, and I've placed them in the right directory. But whenever I try to uninstall FBI, it says "wrong TMD size". I know that the FBI tmd is 3KB, but the downloaded tmd is 5KB. What should I do?

Do you have FBI injected into H&S on sysnand?
You could format emunand in GW Menu and then unlink them again to get an emunand without FBI in emunand H&S, if you haven't injected it into sysnand.

Also, check Pack as .cia on 3DNUS as I have shown. Use FBI through ninjhax 1.1b from your emunand (wouldnt want to mess around installing and uninstalling system titles on sysnand), destination NAND, uninstall title, find the right one (I'm not entirely sure how to find the right one here tbh) and uninstall it, then back to Install Titles, and install the .cia

And again don't mess with that stuff on sysnand, if something screws up on emunand it's easy to recover, but if something screws up on sysnand, you'd need a hard mod and a good nand backup.

Another question btw: which entry point are you using to start rxTools?

I can't install anything on emunand for some reason... (booting into sysnand keeps giving me a black screen, too.)

I'm using Ninjhax 1.1b for the builds which use rxtools/sys/code.bin.
I use browserhax for builds which support launcher.dat.

Can you try using menuhax with *hax 2.5 and see if that works? I think I remember being told that there might be some compatibility issues depending on a variety of factors like entry point and system firmware version (a lot of things didn't work right for me on 6.2.0 using MSET entry point while it worked once I was updated to 9.2 using menuhax.)

Well, I have recently updated from 6.1.0-12 to 9.2.0-20. Is there any problems in that?

There shouldn't be, but I'd see if things work any better when using menuhax to run it.

Also a few questions to make things clearer:

1: You have FBI injected into emunand, yeah?
2: You are running FBI from your H&S app and that's giving you AM services error access denied?
3: What about FBI in .3dsx format from ninjhax 1.1b? You mentioned you were relying on that but every time I ask about it you don't clarify.

I know why the .3dsx one is throwing an error but I can't find how to fix it again... maybe if you give me a moment.
You need to patch services or something after booting into HBL before FBI.3dsx can allow you to install .cias, that is why you are getting access denied. But I can't find the instructions on doing that anymore.

Anyway, when you updated from 6.1.0 to 9.2.0 it should have replaced the H&S app with a clean one that doesn't have FBI in it... at least it did for me.

I think I need to access Rx Dev Mode, becuase that was the only thing which allowed me to install CIAs using FBI.3dsx (when I was on 6.1).

I just tried the ninjax 1.1b and got the "AM service ERROR" and then the *2.5 which i got the same error as yours.

wait im confused i thought fbi dont work on ninjax 2.5

Yeah, according to the FBI thread this is an error on rxTools' side, because people had it working fine and it stopped working once they changed to a certain build.

I've never used Pasta CFW. I wouldn't be able to tell you.

All I know is how to use rxTools where everything works as intended for me.
