Hi

Ive kinda forgot about my 3ds after the Emunand/Sysnand explosion of earlier this year.

I saw (the name of) some developments on 3ds hacking, but im really totally out of the loop.

Now ive just heard that Animal Crossing New Leaf is coming back with new content... and this is interesting to me.

So:

- What should i do in terms of hacking to keep my hacked 3ds up to date?
- Will i be able to access the eshop?
- What about online play?

Get arm9loaderhax and you'll be good forever. If you're too lazy, just update your emuNAND with System Setting like you would normally. Online play and eShop will work fine. Of course, if you're so inclined, piracy is ridiculously easy now. Get freeShop.
(A9LH guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki )

Is the A9LH process easier if i already have homebrew launcher and Rxtools?

Also, what happens to Emunand once i install this A9LH?

If you follow the guide exactly, it will replace your sysNAND with your emuNAND (so you didn't lose all the saves and stuff you have on emuNAND right now). But as @Denny64 said, that's not compulsory at all, you can keep your emuNAND if you like that better.
