So.. I updated my old 3ds to b9s and used it for a bit and removed sd and everything still worked fine. So I thought let's try it on my new 3ds xl. I do it. Everything seemed fine for it so without testing to see if it still works without it, I deleted the files in the sd card to use it on another device. Later finding out it just blinks the led then off when hitting the button. I know what's wrong, I just don't know how to get the files back needed for boot. If someone can help that would be amazing.

you need luma's boot.firm to boot

What happened?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I hit button
Light turns on
Light turns off

then you must be on A9LH instead of B9S, place arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of the SD card, you can find that on luma 7.0.5 release.

I'll try that

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

That didn't work either. Same as before

Make sure to format it as FAT32, then try the Luma 7.1 boot.firm, not the newest one, if the newest one still doesn't work.

Older versions of B9S can't boot the recent Luma releases.

Success! That worked!
I formatted as FAT32, placed the 7.1.7 boot.firm on my sd card, turned my console on, and now i'm at the luma3ds config screen!

Just finished setting up the config now at Homemenu
