I'm wondering if having "I'm a girl" in front of topic title will score good number of hits even if I'm a man.

It seems adding those words get your questions answered in a very short period of time, especially in a gaming site.

Oh and if you were expecting something else, that's why posted this in testing area =P

Strangely enough, I was having this kind of discussion with a friend, very late last night.

Or early this morning, depending on how you wanna look at it lol

She almost never admits to being female, whilst online, because it can really bring the crazies out of the woodwork.

I take it that you have never played as a female character in an MMORPG then? lol

There can be certain advantages, and of course disadvantages, to being perceived as female, online.

One of which is the ability to get guys ... certain guys ... to jump through hoops for you. Do things, fix things, find things, whatever.

Another is to get guys to blindly defend you, in arguments ... haha, seen that happen enough times, over the years lol

but women can argue so much better than men
hell i've had an entire forum filled with men arguing with very little defense and survived (more than once)

No, not just through flirting. With some guys, it's automatic. They become almost subservient to females, online.

And, your final comment is nothing but flame-bait, and shall be treated as such, and ignored [IMG]

[I grew up as the middle one of 7 ... all the others were girls, and the majority of my family is female ... very few men ... just myself and my son now, in fact, since my grandfather passed away ... so, I am immune to the ways and the tactics employed by many women lol]

but if wanna do things correctly subtle flirting is the best way to do it because then you attract more *cough* idiots *cough* [IMG]
well flame bait maybe but it's the truth when it comes to handling the situation you do things one of a few ways you either reason with the people who think they can argue with you or bully because they think you're weak
or you can wade into the middle of it and defuse the whole thing which i've seen done very nicely (by a man)
or you can roll your sleeves up and scrap it out
it all depends on mood personally speaking

i must try and find a decent mmorpg my other half would find the whole thing fasinating [IMG]

    And, again, more flame-bait [IMG]

I prefer to let people get carried away, and tumble over themselves [IMG]

Reduces chance of them starting it up again [IMG]

I used to play WoW with a friend that (naturally) has multiple characters. The thing is, his main was a female character. He did that because he got tons more help, more gold, and just more stuff in general as a female character. He never had to "prove" that he was female, he just went with it. Through him, I got so much good stuff. His male characters didn't even come close to receiving the amount of goods that the female one did.
