it would be nice if there were an option to ignore say the tetris tournament board because I really dont need to look in it and it fills up a lot of the new posts

I complained about the same thing, but it looks like it's a no-can-do. (To be a little more polite, come on Hunter. [IMG])

There must be a way to at least do check boxes on what you want to see and what you don't want to see on the portal in the User CP, right?

Personally I do not mind the "junk" topics especially as we are told they will not drag on like the MK tournament.

A suggestion to achieve what you want: Group all the participants and then make http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showforum=77 only available to them (and presumably 78,79.... as and when).

This should allow general discussion to still be around while blocking the match arrangement threads to those not in the groups, it would however block the curious people.

I did try and sort something out with adblock but these forums are done differently to some of the others I visit.

Why the hostility Hunter? As a non-participant in the tournament the major announcements (round start/end) are fine, but taking the individual match threads out of the "new and recent" posts list on the front page would totally rock [IMG]

could always just create a special user group for the participants in this contest and only they can see the sections?

with the amount of time that it would take to hack up something like that with my current schedual it would be near imposible to get it done before the end of the tournament.

That's okay, it's a good clear logical answer and makes perfect sense. Thank you [IMG]

well, we all know this isnt going to be the last tournament here, so it would certainly pay off if something were done now
