Did they get GH:OT mixed up or is this really true? :wtf:

EDIT: Nvm, it's true. This is just amazing, the GH:OT strap add-on might actually see some more use besides just On Tour!

i guess the good thing is, for pirates, you only have to buy OT and then just download the rom.

edit: they are good, my only problem with Gh is that ever since, so many poser-rockers have spawned.

It's a highly overrated rip-off of amplitude (created by the same company, harmonix) with a plastic guitar thrown in to make people think they are good at an instrument. [IMG]

^ True but the game itself is actually a decent music/rhythm game.

You should look at Konami's official Guitar Freaks Guitar. It's $200-$300, but you can see the huge difference in quality. I love that guitar.. but it's too expensive for me to afford. [IMG]

Guitar Hero is a good rhythm game.
Me and my girlfriend loved EBA/OTO, Taiko no Tatsujin, DJMax, O2Jam, and now got GH3 bundle and extra controller last week. (And left me with an empty wallet)

My only concern is that this DS version would look somewhat silly in public. I'll keep it indoors =P just like my current Guitar Hero.

Edit: Just 4 frets? I'm concerned about the difficulty a little bit. I could beat a GH3 song on Expert with 4 stars on my third day...

Also I noted that the ESRB rating is E opposed to T on GH3. I guess my girlfriend's baby brother can play the DS version since it's easier and actually rated for everyone.
He's been eyeing my GH3 controllers since I got them. I let him try a few songs on Easy (under my supervision) and he did fine too.

Yeah well, sounds pretty cool. I'll probably buy this over the summer at one point, and then possibly get the GHIV cart.
As for IGN, don't count on their release dates. Right now they have almost every major release for the Nintendo Wii this year under June 27th. Just a bit surreal...

why do they need to release an add-on anyway? couldn't they just make good use of the touch screen and buttons? I don't see it as necessary and it will only jack up the price tag, yup another money making scandal, or they may be doing it to prevent piracy.

Oi, I would like to put that generalization to a statistical test. . . I do not believe 90% of this forum is teens. . . I think this forum is fairly well distributed. . .

Also on the note about the addon . . .you could say the same for the other Guitar Heros. . what's the point of a guitar for a PS2 or Xbox when I could just use the controller and directional buttons or something. . . . -.-

Probably because DS touch screen can't take more than one input at the same time (DS averages the coordinates of two points).
So in order to have both fret and strum working, they kinda need the addon.
I can kinda imagine Guitar Hero without strumming because I think that's how 360 controller (not the guitar-con, but regular con) worked, but it makes GH another rhythm game instead of a guitar rhythm game.

ive always felt like " ya im holding this pseudo plastic guitar" but the game teaches you rythem and timing more that how to actually play guitar. all of my drummer friends that ive played, myself included, are generally better that someone that plays any onter instrument including guitar, or none at all. its still fun though. alone or with friends.
