I'd be really excited about this if I wasn't still so far from beating Portrait of Ruin or had started the first DS one. I love Castelvania though and Portrait of Ruin is phenomenal side scrolling action.

I really hope they put more effort into this new one than they did with PoR. Whether it was the backgrounds, the sprites, the music or the gameplay, I didn't think PoR was very inspired. The dual character set up was not something I really enjoyed.

If they DO make it 3D, I expect it will be kinda like that Rondo remake for PSP. The 3D models on a 2D line. Also kinda like the New Super Mario Bros.
However, I prefer that they stick to beautiful hand drawn stuff....that's where the DS REALLY shines.

@SylverReZ find me ONE community that is free of drama and politics. even video games forums (like this one) have politics section. and for some reason gamers still take consoles/brands wars seriously. even as a kid i never took the console wars bait despite being a nintendo kid. -

as about forums, when i recently revisited some old forums i used to be regular and seeing how immature most members still are i was like "Yeap. Nothing of value has been lost.". Unfortunately it's the good, comfy forums that ended up dead or shut down, especially because of internet centralization.
