Gaming Iga Confirms New DS Castlevania

I don't know how many of you loved the first two DS Castlevania games, Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, but I sure did. They kept me entertained for quite some time. While browsing around on IGN today, I saw this article posted:

Iga Confirms New DS Castlevania

"Castlevania's third DS title is now unofficially official until Konami makes it officially official with an official announcement."

That made me laugh, I don't know about anyone else

Guess I must have missed it, all I had heard in the past was rumors of a new one being made. Leave it to IGN to be like two weeks late on something like this.

I just hope the 3rd one will be a mesh of the first two. The big gnarly bosses of the first game and the dual character setup from the 2nd.

The fun part of Castlevania is the part where you don't use cheats and attack a giant golem looking thing then realize you had to use a different weapon otherwise you'd only do 1 damage but it'd be too late cause he already pwned you.

Yes, it certaintly was.

I got your Cheat.DAT, but I play through the games first before I cheat. That's my rule.

I guess I wasn't the only one that didn't know about this, now I don't feel like my post was a waste of time

I also hope that they combine the first two games into one game because there were certain aspects of each game that I enjoyed. I seriously don't expect to be disappointed regardless, I know it will be on the same page with the other two DS games.

Well I don't like his quote about it expected to be of quality as the Portrait of Ruin crew is on it. That was the worst Castlevania I have ever touched outside of CV64 and I've played all of them. That game was disjointed, cut and paste, uninspired, just plain boring and poorly done. The original for the DS though was a masterpiece...use that crew, they have a clue what works.

Oh I dunno I still would love to see the DC on those cowards canned because Americans created it.

Also Legacy of Darkness was awesome on the n64. It had the full game CV64 claimed to be and failed to rush out bugged and undone for a stock quarter.

As much as I loved the Castlevania series on N64, I do hope they don't make the new DS version 3D. I just love the side scrolling of the current Castlevania series.

Odds are they will stick with 2D look at how many 2D castlevanias have been made lately.

The last 2 3D ones were on PS2 and they didn't sell well at all while still being ok games.
