Hacking If you were to buy a new DS

I'm currently facing this question myself, I really liked my white DS but since it's turned into a bit of a wreck (oddly through no fault of my own) I want a shiny new one that I'll feel a lot happier using.

White gets grubby (the buttons and hinge area) , black gets covered in finger print marks and seems to wear quickly around the d-pad, so I think personally I'll go for a DS Lite silver (despite it being £10 - $20 more expensive where I'm buying from)

Just curious as to which one you guys would go for

None of the colors out at the moment. I might be waiting for a lime green/pastel green, or just see whatever colors are newly released.

I just wish they would release a DS Lite with a matte finish like the old DS had. I'd pick that one no matter what color it was.

In my opinion they need to release a DSL in matte finish (not necessarily a whole range) as 'Destructobot' stated. If they did i would buy one, as i own a black DSL and because the fingerprints show up a whole lot easier i have turned into a clean freak.

. But none the less, I'd say go for a black, nothing beats a New Shiny Black DSL

The oriognalDS model was my favorite.
The control and everything was great for me.
Though the screens could use some updating.
I wish nintendo would update teir DS phats with better screens like they did the GBA sps when the GBA micro came out.

Silver and Black are good color choices in my opion.
A bit more stylish.
White is kinda silly.
Though eh, Im a Sega kinda guy, so maybe Im just used to black.

It'd look sweet if it was just Crimson, but the black ruins it IMHO!

I'm still undecided which one to go for. White is probably my favourite but I'd feel a bit underwhelmed getting the same colour again I think. Black isn't bad but I'm not sure about it - any reason not to get the silver? I guess it's too early to tell if there are any problems with it.

I use the Joytech Armolite case (no fingerprints on my black DSL anymore

I don't really like black that much, but I don't really want a white one, 'cos like I said it might be a bit disappointing after already having one, I fancied something a bit new

Oh no, you're not alone, single colors do look better in my opinion.

Well, true, a monochrome crimson DS Lite would be better, but since it's not available, I have nothing against a crimson black combination.

Anyone else with a black DS have problems with the black DS and wear around the d-pad?

I've had my black DSL for about a year, and I never noticed any wear around the dpad until you asked about it. It has gone a bit shiny around the dpad from the texture of the plastic being worn away, but that's it.
