Just saw this and thought of the many people buying this game on O3DS without knowing what they're getting into.

    Take a look for yourself.

I'm not very sensitive to framerates - but this is horrible.

It definitely experiences significant issues with framerates on the lower powered 3DS models, but in my opinion it makes up for it's pricepoint in sheer vastness and quality of content and playtime.

If you had to choose one game to buy for a 3DS that you could sink a lot of hours into, this game isn't a bad choice.

I've tested Hyrule Warriors on both O3DS and N3DS. The difference in performance is definitely noticeable, but not game-breaking. It's still playable on O3DS.

I don't see a huge difference, It's like the Wii U when you play multiplayer so what's the big deal it's still worth if you have a O3DS or a 2DS

yeah, that's a pretty significant difference. It's playable like that, but not pleasant. The n3ds still has framedrops too, heh. Just guessing, but that looks like what, something near 30 with drops on the n3ds and around 20 on the o3ds?

Does anyone know how this game runs 3d on vs 3d off on a N3ds?

Similar to Pokémon XY battles in 3D on O3DS.

*sigh* Another one of these. It's people like you that made me decide to finally buy a N3DS for my birthday.

I'll take it as a compliment then. :-)

And no, it is not game breaking or unplayable. But missions on Wii U that I played lasted sometimes 30 minutes or more. Think how long it will take with that speed. Time is precious, at least to me.

I did play the O3DS version myself before watching or even knowing that there was any difference between the versions by the way - in my opinion you can't miss the difference.

And don't forget about that the number of enemys decreasing, the "lower" you go.

    Wii U - > N3DS - > O3DS

Hyrule Warriors Legend is still plenty playable on the O3DS, I've cleared Legends Mode, including the new content, cleared the original Adventure map and most of the Great Sea, and the only issues I have with it is when I notice how it runs smooth in the missions where there's 2 or 3 enemies spawned max, which is why I'm getting the N3DS in the first place, and it could be a complete waste of money if I screw something up and have to have it on 10.5 sysnand, or worse, brick it.

I'm just tired of people implying that HWL is about as playable on the O3DS as Xenoblade Chronicles 3D.

Are you trying to imply the game engine is tied to the framerate in such a way that the entire game speed slows down when the framerate decreases?
I really don't think this is the case as I haven't noticed instances of slow motion when playing thus far.

Anyone who complains about framerate issues has never played a Koei Tecmo game before. Lmao.

I believe 2ds users get a slightly better experience in that department. They don't have the 800x240 resolution.

As o3ds doesn't render the game in 3d theoretically it only has to process a 400x240 image, so the load shouldn't differ between 3ds/2ds to any noticeable degree.

Luckily I couldn't care less about Dynasty Warriors or any games like it (especially from Team Ninja) but you'd think they'd go farther to keep the gameplay intact. If I was looking into a game, I'm fine with the poly count rivaling that of Star Fox for the SNES as long as the gameplay was good. To make it a viable experience on the o3DS, I'd imagine you'd have to do everything you can to keep the FPS up and the amount of enemies the same as the N3DS. It just seems kind of half-assed for the o3DS.
