ok, so my sd card slot was broken right? and i had a laser disc problem and i had no way to go back onto the problem with the october 23 update
i then called nintendo to fix the sd card and fix the laser disc problem, so they did after 10 days and turns out that what they did was just a format of the system memory, upgraded the firmware to the brawl version (before the dreadful october 23), fixed the laser (plus gave me a new brawl disc [IMG] )and fixed the sd card slot, and my wii is like 900 blocks bricked, lol but oh well... i forgot to uninstall the homebrew channel and when i looked it up in the channel memory, it turned out to be a question mark..so nintendo is pretty retarded, i guess the japanese are trying to get around the homebrew problem, cuz i live in the usa

99% Chance they dont care / do anything. They will charge you for the repair if you arent in warranty though.

If a modchip is inside, remove it. Most likely Nintendo tosses them out.

If you softmod it, they won't do anything, they'll just remove it and send it back.

If it's hardmodded, you voided the warranty (even if you ARE in warranty) and they will charge you for it, PLUS throw out your modchip.

i don,t think they remove softmod maybe with an update but softmod or hardmod is not illigal copying and downloading games that you play is.

hardmodding maybe causes you to lose your warrenty.

    or am i wrong.

Neither really quite wrong or right.

They'd throw out your mod chip and charge you for the repair whether you're in warranty or not as I'm told. And if it's a soft one you'll end up seeing that removed and likely the newest firmware installed to screw that up for you too which is their right to do.
