Gaming If you had 1GB to fill...

So I just got myself a new 1GB MicroSD, but I can't choose which games to put in it. Any recommendations? Also, it'd be nice if you gave a full list, uncompressed ( I don't like trimming my roms).

He's asking for a list of good games whose sizes will fit on a 1 GB card. Not for the roms themselves.

And I suppose that's also why he couldn't use the sticky, since it doesn't take size into account. Although there have been a few threads of "good games with a small file size" in the past...

Firstly, Why would you purchase a 1 gig card when you could get a 2 gig card for not much more £££$$$ ? and if your DS card has SDHC then why not 4/6/8 gigs?

Anyway i am over 30 so my choice of games may change from others and i would choose:

Zelda PHG (Number 1456) 128mbs
Arkanoid (Number 2409) ??? 32/64mbs
Diner Dash (Number 1042) 32mbs
Mario cart (Number 0201) 32mbs
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword (Number 2387) 128mbs
New International Track & Field (Number 2350) 128mbs ?

Not quite 1 gig but its a start!

Why by the way when someone requests something without first checking in " search " if its already been asked do you guys always moan at them about it?.
Ok i guess it can get annoying seeing all the same questions appear but if you have already answered before or don' want to again then just leave the thread alone and let someone else sort it or simply link them to the old thread.

This is basically the same as a "what are your fav games" list request.

I suggest just looking at those threads with the idea of fill the card till full with items on the lists.

Just make sure to leave some space for the saves (.5MB for each game on the card bare minimum).

these days i find it hard to fill 1gb let alone 2gb i only have a few games on my slot 1

something your all forgetting is each game and some homebrew needs a save game most save games are around 512kb x this by about 30 items = 15mb remember to save about 25-30mb spare for save games or you will find some stuff wont even load due to lack of space

and NEO DS roms can take upto 50-100mb each average for good games add to this DPG movies mp3s and homebrew. other emulators and their roms soon eats into 1gb

you CAN however save a few mb here and there by trimming commercial game roms but sometimes this can break download play despite a lot of so called wonder rom trimmers state that they keep it .. experience in reality its hit and miss

if download plays not a biggie then you can shave upto 30 or 40mb maby more off a rom here and there and grab back some precious space

to be honest 2gb cards are not a great deal of difference in price to 1gb cards lately ... shop around there are some bargains to be had ... even with brand name mem cards

anyways, why not trim your ROMS? (it's not compressing)
you can save a bit of space and it doesn't affect anything, there's no reason not to. If you use NDStokyoTrim your ROMS won't lose any WiFi data or anything.
