pirated games are unsold games to begin with, so the devs been robbed of thier money.. second hand stuff is always just like cars with less certainety about how long it'll last so the price drops and yes, if you buy your second hand vw golf 6 wv won't get money for the second time, they sold ownership the first time. this counts for games and software... you pay for ownership of your product (it be a key, a disc or whatever, and you buy it from the current owner... used product are normally considdered more risky and so worth less)
